World of Warcraft: Alchemy Leveling Guide

The importance of Alchemy is obvious to anyone who has played the game of World of Warcraft. Having the ability to call on needed buffs and power-ups in your inventory at any moments notice is a very valuable skill, and can often be the difference between winning and losing.

If you are going to be serious about taking up alchemy, then you are going to need to take up herbalism on one of your characters. Alchemy is heavily dependant on the materials yield from herbalism, and these materials can often end up costing a fortune in the auction house. Being a master herbalist will make leveling an alchemist much less frustrating.

The field of alchemy is one of the most respected skills, and has been for a very long time in World of Warcraft. For solo players, using the creations made through alchemy is essential for getting through levels without the help of others. Not only can these creations directly impact your character through health and mana boosts; but it also has the ability to provide significant statistical boosts that increase the effectiveness of your character.

All alchemists will be inclined to customize their skill even further when they reach the end of the road on becoming skill level 450. Each alchemist will have the choice of specializing in one of four fields within alchemy - elixirs, potions, flasks or transmutations. Every field has its strengths, but you must keep in mind that you can only choose one. By specializing in a particular field, you have the ability to make more of that item with less materials.

It will be wise to keep in mind that the materials for alchemy become quite expensive by purchasing them from the auction house, especially since herbs have become more useful with the addition of inscriptionists. By using the auction house, you are subjecting yourself to the will of herbalists, and many of them insist on high prices.

To optimize the amount of space in your inventory with certain potions, you can also use injectors. Instead of being able to carry 5 potions in a stack, injectors allow a player to hold 20 potions in a stack. This becomes particularly useful in raids when a large amount of potions will be consumed, and the amount of space in the players inventory is vital.

Aside from creating things, alchemists also have the ability to transmute items. For instance, an alchemist can turn an eternal fire into an eternal water. This is particularly useful for crafting, when you have one item but need another. There is a hefty cool down on transmutes of up to 24 hours. This is a great way to turn around profit for alchemists.

If you continue following this WoW Alchemy Guide soon you will be end up with all 450 alchemy skills. Be the master of alchemy, bring life to raid. Bang on the game now.
