We will start with my favorite year of old chevy, the ‘69 Who could ever forget the 1969 model? This was the year a classic engine was made available, the 350 cid V-8. 2002 was the last year the 350 cid was made in the US. It is still produced in Mexico. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. ‘69 was also the first year for the K-5 Blazer.

What about the 1970 year model?From 69 to 70 very little changed in the appearance of these vehicles. There is one small change that differentiates between the two and it is in the grille.

Trim options where one thing Chevy opted to increase, otherwise, the overall look is relatively the same in ‘71More padding and chrome were added depending on which option you chose; all options were geared towards comfort and looks. If you wanted a FM radio in the truck, 1971 was the first year Chevy offered this option.

Chevrolet still refuses to mess with perfection, as they still do not change much on their trucks. Other than changing the position of the rear view mirror and adding some wood grain to the interior of some of the models, Chevy did not alter the design much in the 1972 model year.
